Suns out, guns out - this was definitely the case at Fat Blokes 7s festival. The hot weather saw more white and red skin descend on reading rfc than a day down the beach.
The campsite was set and the evening before the women prepped for Saturdays tournament the way they knew best - tinnies and drinking games.
Fitness-fanatic coach Lev tried to put them off drinking into the night, serving up a potent chili vodka.
It didn't work. A blurry-eyed team made their way to the pitched for a 9am ko.
Thankfully the opposition were in the same mind frame and the games that followed were filled with silliness and laughter. 'Dead Ants' and 'The Floor Is Lava' we're heard regularly over a speakerphone. To the ref's bewilderment all players took part, at one point ending in an entire group cuddle with the ref - mid play!
The women scored their most ever tries in a 7s tournament, however, they came last in 'The Boob' league. Bottom in the competition, but top in spirit and banter - a fantastic weekend had by all.
